As part of the Global Coke team, you’ll collaborate with professionals across regions on initiatives that build our business and advance our strategic objectives. This role supports the Coke & Sulphur business and is ideal for an experienced Commercial Analyst. The position has a strong focus on market and commercial analysis, commercial support, and scheduling operations. You will play a key role in enabling well-informed commercial decision-making across the value chain and ensuring reliable mid‑office performance understanding.

In this role You will

Performance Analysis

- Own delivery of coordinated monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts for Europe, aligned to corporate timelines
- Translate European performance into insight through variance analysis, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Prepare customer‑level profitability insights, including margin analysis by product, region, and contract.
- Analyse the profitability of bp’s tolling positions to advise commercial optimization across the value chain.

Commercial Support

- Capture regional production, supply, demand and competitor information from various sources as the need arises
- Provide market data (sales prices, purchase prices, freight rates, etc) for input into refinery LPs, business Price Tracker and the Global Coke Planner, ensuring consistency across the business tools
- Explicit ownership on price analysis, cost-to-serve and performance supervising across the business
- Enable commercial decision-making via scenario modelling and forward-looking projections
- Provide customer and counterparty set-up support to the team in the due diligence process (CDD)

Digital and Data

- Maintain and continuously improve forecasting models, tools, and data infrastructure
- Embed disciplined data ownership, quality, and digital ways of working across teams
- Deliver clear dashboards and performance narratives

Continuous Improvement

- Drive ongoing improvements in workflows, scheduling, and mid-office operations to enhance business efficiency
- Provide support with ad hoc projects

What You will need to be successful

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technology, business, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Business Analyst experience
- Understanding of the commodities trade lifecycle and energy trading principles
- Proficient in English, German is an advantage
- 3+ years of Energy, Trading & Market Analysis
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Management of Change processes.
- Ability to operate optimally in fast‑paced, agile environments.
- Analyst with experience in supporting commercial decision-making, ideally in a fuels business
- Determined, accountable, and proactive in delivering results
- Naturally curious, analytical, and detail‑oriented, with a structured approach to problem solving
- Collaborative teammate with strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to work across different cultures
- Passionate about improving user experience and enabling efficient business processes
- A fast learner who enjoys working in multifaceted, ambiguous environments
