Pharmacist (Part-Time)

Work Environment & Schedule

- Part-time opportunity: 1-3 days per week / 20-25 hours weekly
- Monday availability required.
- Pharmacy hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

- Flexible scheduling available based on organizational needs.
- Collaborative outpatient pharmacy setting focused on delivering accessible, community-based care to a diverse patient population.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to oversee daily pharmacy operations within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role ensures the safe, accurate, and compliant dispensing of medications while providing clinical guidance to patients and healthcare providers. The Pharmacist will support medication therapy management, regulatory compliance, staff oversight, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient care and pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and compliant medication dispensing.
- Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and completeness.
- Monitor medication therapies for safety, effectiveness, and potential drug interactions.
- Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and safety considerations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, including DEA and 340B requirements.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to procedures.
- Manage medication inventory, ordering, storage, and stock control.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and pharmacy management partners.
- Participate in leadership and departmental meetings to support operational excellence.
- Train and mentor pharmacy staff on best practices, medication safety, and patient care.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

Required

- PharmD or graduate degree from an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Active Georgia Pharmacist License or eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience in a community, outpatient, or clinical setting.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers or CPR/AED certification upon hire.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical and clinical sciences.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and patient counseling skills.
- Ability to accurately perform pharmaceutical calculations and identify medication-related issues.

Preferred

- Experience working in a 340B program environment.
- Emergency contraception training approved by ACPE, a state/local health department, or Board of Pharmacy recognized program.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ringgold, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
