Job Summary
The HEMM Maintenance Manager at Dangote Cement Plc responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimal performance of heavy earth-moving equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on HEMM equipment.
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic faults on HEMM.
- Conducting routine inspections and condition monitoring to identify potential equipment failures.
- Developing maintenance schedules and ensuring timely execution of maintenance plans.
- Preparing maintenance reports, equipment history records, and technical documentation.
- Coordinating with operations teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Managing spare parts requirements and ensuring availability of critical components. Forecasting the parts requirement.
- Providing technical training to technicians.
- Equipment commissioning, testing, and acceptance inspections.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or it's equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years working experience with the equipments such as Dumpers (HD785 & CAT777 dumpers, Sany SAT40, Terex TA400) Excavators (Liebherr R9100/R9150/R980, Volvo EC950, Komatsu PC950-11R, XCMG XE950DA) and Drills (Sunward SD650, Epiroc D60/DM30, Revathi REL650).
- Experience as service engineer with OEM (KOMATSU/CAT/EPIROC) will be an additional advantage
- Ability to read HEMM system schematics and knowledge of an advanced troubleshooting skills.
