PACKAGING TECHNICIAN
SUPPLY CHAIN
We are looking for a Packaging Technician to join our Supply Chain Packaging team. In this role, you will act as the primary technical point of contact for innovation and strategic projects, supporting packaging development, supplier capability, business continuity, quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with key Supply Chain stakeholders.
THE ROLE
OPTIMIZE, ENABLE, INNOVATE!
As our Packaging Technician, you play a critical role in being the primary technical point of contact for innovation and strategic projects, supporting new product implementation, packaging specifications, supplier capability development, quality improvements, business continuity activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Packaging Manager, and you will manage:
1. Innovation & Project Support
- Contribute to new initiative start-ups by providing inputs during the design phase.
- Support FMEA activities and project handovers with R&D Packaging.
- Support new product implementation activities and SAP data introduction.
- Design and approve artworks and support changes to artwork systems.
- Train and brief external artwork teams.
2. Packaging & Supplier Management
- Originate tertiary packaging specifications.
- Validate end-of-line configurations and run transport tests.
- Manage the development of supplier capability and capacity.
- Support duplicate specifications for new suppliers and increase existing supplier capacity.
- Apply regulatory requirements as part of business continuity activities.
3. Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Support quality improvement through specification tolerance reviews and delivery method improvements.
- Partner with Operations to improve production processes and line efficiency.
- Identify, assess, and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Support secondary packaging changes and foldings updates.
- Support operator training on format changes and small-scale breakdowns.
YOU ARE A COTY FIT
As an experienced Supply Chain Packaging Technician, you thrive in a fast-paced and diverse environment. You are collaborative, results-focused, methodical, organized, and accountable.
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, BA and/or similar academic background).
- Packaging passionate desirable experience in FMCG Industry.
- English and Spanish advanced level.
- 2D & 3D software literate.
- Methodical and organized.
- Priority setting and organizational skills.
- Written and spoken communication skills.
- Strong sense of individual accountability and ownership of performance.
