Position Overview

- The Ohio Refining Division located in Canton, Ohio, is seeking a Senior/Lead Routine Maintenance Planner – Electrical .  This position is responsible for supporting maintenance E&I shop with troubleshooting and repair scope for E&I equipment, developing detailed job plans, ordering material and/or equipment to effectively execute the routine maintenance work in a safe and economical manner. The Planner coordinates between Operations and Maintenance to effectively plan, schedule, and execute the work. Schedule is Monday- Thursday from 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM including occasional calls and assignments after hours. There are extended hours during turnaround times (expected 1-2 times per year), weekends and holidays as required.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for reviewing and processing work notifications into work orders ensuring proper authorization, priority, completeness, accuracy and determines craft skills needed, sequence of work to be performed and estimates man hours, material, tools, and equipment needed.
- Develops detailed work packages, procure materials, allocate resources and rental equipment needed for job.
- Facilitates planning deliverables for work practices (i.e., RSP-1400).
- Leads backlog reviews and collaborate with Area Team on priority and accuracy.
- Ensures Quality Control requirement are included in work planning.
- Ensures proper expense class allocation consistent with the Cost Consistency practice.
- Collaborates with Project Controls for proper cost forecasting and budget compliance.
- Collaborates with Area Teams on KPI reviews and improvement ideas.
- Ensures Safety, PSM, and Environmental compliance dates are met.
- Supports PSM processes such as MOC and incident investigations.
- Plans and coordinates the development of work orders with operating unit foremen for facilities in assigned area that clearly show special instructions and required documentation such as MOC information, QA/QC needs, P&ID’s, spec sheets, required skill crafts and duration, specialty tools, equipment and reserve or create purchase orders for necessary components.
- Consults engineers prior to any field changes in design, or specifications and requests changes in procedure to complete work.
- Inspects completed work and ensures closeout processes are followed.
- Read and comprehend P&IDs, Equipment Drawings, Electrical One-lines and schematics, Inspection Testing, Loop Sheets and Instrument Spec Sheets.
- Assist relevant departments in identifying repairs for outside vendors, identifying warehouse stock items that are obsolete, upgraded replacement items, and troubleshooting to reduce maintenance backlog and operational issues.
- Lead, mentor, and coach fellow employees.

Minimum Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Five (5) years experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.
- Proficient with Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook. SAP or other planning software preferred.
- Prior planning and coordinating E&I work preferred.
- Prior leadership skills are highly preferred.
- Prior hands on industrial, petroleum, or chemical electrical and instrumentation expertise preferred.
