Children of America (COA) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Expansion Program Preschool Teacher to join our team.

About the Expansion Program Preschool

The Expansion Program Preschool is a partnership between the school district and Children of America designed to provide high-quality preschool education for eligible three- and four-year-old children .

As a Preschool Teacher, you'll help create an environment where children can develop academically, socially, emotionally, and physically while preparing for their next stage of education.

What You'll Do

As an Expansion Program Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate daily lesson plans and learning activities

- Lead classroom instruction using COA's Mind and Body Matters curriculum

- Create a structured, nurturing, and positive classroom environment

- Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development

- Establish appropriate classroom expectations and routines

- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones

- Complete child progress reports and required classroom documentation

- Communicate professionally and consistently with parents and families

- Build strong, collaborative relationships with children, families, and colleagues

- Respond to children's individual needs with patience, empathy, and understanding

- Utilize technology to support documentation, communication, and child progress tracking

- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom

- Collaborate with school management, teaching staff, and district partners

- Participate in professional development and training

- Follow COA policies, procedures, curriculum expectations, and all applicable state requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced early childhood educator who is passionate about teaching preschool-aged children and committed to creating meaningful learning experiences.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree

- Completion of an approved teacher preparation program

- P-3 Certificate of Eligibility (CE)

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early childhood education setting

- Current CPR and First Aid certification

- Must meet all applicable state licensing and program requirements

- Strong classroom management and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities

- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff

- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning

Work Schedule

- 10-month contract

- Monday–Friday

- Preschool classroom schedule

Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 annually. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or other benefits.
