Entry Level Mechanic

Job Title: Entry-Level Mechanic
SERVPRO is seeking a dependable, hands-on Entry-Level Mechanic to support our lead mechanic with the maintenance and repair of company vehicles and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is building their automotive or light-duty mechanical career and wants practical experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
• Assist the lead mechanic with diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, tire rotations, and basic inspections.
• Complete basic repairs under supervision.
• Assist with suspension repairs, including replacing worn or damaged components as directed.
• Perform brake service and repairs, including inspections, pad and rotor replacement, and related maintenance.
• Keep accurate records of services, repairs, parts used, and vehicle condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and properly care for tools and shop equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable vehicle-maintenance standards.
• Help identify maintenance needs early to reduce downtime and keep SERVPRO vehicles ready for service.

Qualifications
• Basic knowledge of automotive repair and preventative maintenance.
• Prior hands-on experience through work, trade school, vocational training, or personal mechanical projects is preferred.
• Ability to safely use common shop tools and equipment.
• Willingness to learn from and take direction from the lead mechanic.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment, and to work in a shop environment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
