Total Estimated Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 / year (Base Salary + Project Performance Commissions)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled Journeyman Carpenter to join our Reconstruction Department. This position is ideal for an accomplished tradesperson with a strong background in Residential Interior Reconstruction who brings leadership experience—whether as a former job site foreman or an independent contractor looking to step away from administrative overhead and into a stable, high-paying, full-time environment.
You will drive high-quality interior reconstruction projects to completion across the Allentown and Scranton regions, balancing hands-on master carpentry work with site management and subcontractor coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Interior Framing & Structure: Execute structural repairs, wall reconfigurations, subfloor replacement, and structural framing modifications for damaged or updated residential interiors.
• Finish Carpentry & Millwork: Install high-end trim, baseboards, crown molding, casing, interior doors, cabinetry, stairs, and custom built-ins with exceptional precision.
• Multi-Trade Execution & Oversight: Manage residential interior builds from rough-in to completion, coordinating specialty sub-trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting) and stepping in across trades when necessary.
• Site Leadership & Quality Control: Oversee daily job site progress, enforce strict safety standards, manage material deliveries, and maintain clean, professional client job sites.
• Client Communication: Act as the primary technical point-of-contact on site, walking homeowners through daily progress, addressing concerns, and delivering top-tier customer service.
• Schedule & Budget Alignment: Ensure projects move forward efficiently to meet target completion dates and commission benchmarks.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential interior remodeling/reconstruction as a Journeyman-level carpenter.
• Leadership Background: Prior experience as a Site Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or independent General Contractor/Trade Business Owner is required.
• Comprehensive Trade Knowledge: Expert understanding of residential building codes, structural framing, drylining, cabinetry, door/window installations, and interior finishing.
• Tools & Transport: Must possess a complete set of professional hand and power tools and a reliable work vehicle (truck or van capable of hauling tools/materials).
• Licensing & Documentation: Valid PA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly, work in varying job site conditions, operate heavy power tools, and work on ladders.

Compensation & Benefits
• Total Target Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 annually, structured as a stable base salary coupled with regular project-based revenue commissions.
