Grant Manager

Four Oaks is looking for an experienced Grant Manager who knows that a successful grant program is about more than writing a strong proposal. It takes strategy, research, organization, collaboration, data, and the ability to see an opportunity through from application to award and reporting.

We are seeking someone with a proven track record of identifying and securing large-dollar grant funding who can take the lead in strengthening and growing our grant strategy. In this role, you will oversee the full grant lifecycle, supervise and support our existing Grant Writer, identify new funding opportunities, and work closely with Finance, Community & Engagement, program leadership, and other teams across the organization.

What You'll Do

As our Grant Manager, you will:

- Lead the research, development, submission, tracking, and management of federal, state, foundation, and other grant opportunities.

- Research and identify new funding opportunities that align with Four Oaks' mission, programs, and strategic priorities.

- Write and oversee high-quality grant proposals, with a strong focus on large-dollar and complex funding opportunities.

- Supervise, support, and provide direction to our existing Grant Writer.

- Manage grant calendars, application deadlines, reporting requirements, renewals, deliverables, and other key milestones.

- Develop and maintain effective systems for tracking grant activity, outcomes, deadlines, funding, and performance.

- Monitor and analyze grant-related data to help demonstrate program outcomes and support strong applications and reports.

- Partner closely with Finance to ensure grant budgets, expenditures, reporting, and funding requirements remain aligned.

- Collaborate with our Community & Engagement team and program leadership to identify funding needs, gather information, and tell the story of our impact.

- Coordinate information from multiple departments to develop accurate, compelling, and competitive proposals.

- Monitor existing awards and help ensure grant requirements, restrictions, reporting obligations, and deadlines are met.

- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, funders, and community partners.

- Stay informed about funding trends and proactively bring new opportunities forward.

What We're Looking For

This is not an entry-level grant writing position. We are looking for someone who can step in with significant experience and help lead our grant efforts.

Required qualifications include:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional grant writing and grant management experience , with demonstrated experience developing and submitting large-dollar grant proposals.

- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

- Demonstrated success researching, developing, and submitting competitive grant applications.

- Experience managing multiple grants, deadlines, reporting requirements, and competing priorities at the same time.

- Strong understanding of the full grant lifecycle, from identifying an opportunity through application, award, implementation, tracking, reporting, and renewal.

- Strong technical and persuasive writing skills with exceptional attention to detail.

- Ability to interpret data and translate program outcomes and organizational needs into compelling funding requests.

- Strong organizational and project-management skills.

- Ability to work independently while also collaborating across multiple departments and levels of leadership.

- Experience with grant tracking systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and related grant management tools.

- Previous supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
