Job Title: Category Support Coordinator Job Description The Category Support Coordinator supports store operations by setting up new items and vendors, analyzing financial and payment data, and ensuring accurate reporting between vendors and retail locations. This role focuses on maintaining data integrity, researching vendor terms and process flows, and providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities

- Set up new items and vendors in store systems, ensuring accurate and complete data entry.
- Research vendor payment terms to support accurate financial processing and compliance with established policies.
- Analyze and document the process flow for new items between vendors and stores to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing operations.
- Perform accounting-related tasks such as reconciliation and financial analysis to support cost and pricing decisions.
- Conduct data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, to identify trends and support business decisions.
- Manage and maintain high volumes of data related to items, vendors, and store reporting while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve data or payment discrepancies and provide responsive customer service.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports that support store operations and financial performance.
- Support store reporting activities for multiple retail brands, ensuring consistent standards and processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of cost support and service coordination processes.

Essential Skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
- Experience with accounting and financial analysis in a business or retail environment.
- Strong reconciliation skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis and create clear, concise reports.
- Customer service skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Comfort working with high volumes of data and transactions.
- Ability to understand and document process flows between vendors and stores.
- General proficiency with Microsoft applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Experience in a retail or multi-location store environment is beneficial.
- Background in finance, accounting, or data analysis is preferred.
- Familiarity with cost support, vendor management, or store reporting processes is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Work Environment The role operates within a structured team environment that supports reporting and operations for multiple retail brands. You work alongside supervisors and coordinators in a collaborative setting that manages a high volume of store and vendor data. The environment is fast-paced and detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy, timely reporting, and continuous support of store operations. Standard office tools and Microsoft applications, especially Excel, are used extensively to perform daily tasks and generate reports.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
