We're seeking an Analyst Assistant to join a growing team that supports local governments and special districts through financial administration, reporting, compliance, and data management. You'll receive hands-on mentorship while gaining exposure to financial analysis, regulatory compliance, client services, and project management.

What You'll Do

- Support the administration of special districts, including financial tracking, reporting, and compliance activities
- Analyze and maintain large, complex data sets while ensuring accuracy and integrity
- Assist with financial calculations, reconciliations, and reporting for local government clients
- Prepare data and reports for Project Managers and client deliverables
- Support special tax, assessment, fee, and bond-related administration activities
- Assist with reviewing legal documents, legislative requirements, and regulatory guidelines
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure accurate and complete work products
- Utilize Excel, databases, and reporting tools to analyze and organize information
- Participate in client meetings and collaborate with internal teams to support project goals
- Help identify issues, research solutions, and contribute to process improvements
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

What We're Looking For

✅ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field ✅ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ✅ Experience working with Excel and large data sets ✅ Ability to interpret financial information and identify trends or discrepancies ✅ Strong organizational and communication skills ✅ Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment ✅ Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality ✅ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Experience working with municipalities, government agencies, special districts, or public finance organizations ⭐ Experience with reporting, reconciliations, or financial analysis ⭐ Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, GIS mapping tools, or database management systems ⭐ Experience with public administration, taxation, assessments, or government-related financial programs ⭐ Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and reporting functions

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temecula, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $28.85/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
