About this role

The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. Working in Carver's on 19, this position plays a vital role in delivering a premium dining experience by ensuring every dish meets the restaurant's high standards. The Cook maintains a clean and organized workstation, follows all food safety and sanitation procedures, and works collaboratively with the culinary team in a fast-paced kitchen.

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, or high-volume kitchen preferred.
- Experience preparing steaks, seafood, and upscale American cuisine is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working in kitchen environments with heat, noise, and occasional exposure to secondhand smoke in casino areas.
