Equipment Coordinator

Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the Equipment Coordinator will provide support for operations and sites. This position will also be responsible for organizing, cleaning, and maintaining the shop, fleet, and storage areas.

This position is based at our Sturgeon County, AB location at our Equipment Division known as Westrac Resources.

What You Will Be Working On

- Communicate and work with field and shop mechanics to repair equipment across multiple work sites.
- Creating work orders
- Setting up trucking and logistics of getting parts to sites
- Set up additional help when needed to ensure equipment stays running
- Coordinate moving heavy and light equipment to and from various sites.
- Rent and setup 3rd party equipment when required for various sites and setup transport
- Understand rental contracts and setup proper rates to be charged per job.
- Complete month end invoicing by site location
- Track and report on overall equipment utilizations per equipment category
- Setup new equipment in current GPS software packages and make sure all functions correctly
- Track service schedules on the different classes of equipment and notify when services of various types are required making sure they are completed.
- Provide information of various forms to various sites concerning equipment info, service info, and basic requirements.
- Search out unique equipment needs for jobs based on site criteria.
- Understand company's guidelines pertaining to warehousing and delivery to various work sites.
- Track and maintain accurate documentation, including the coordination of vehicle/equipment repairs, equipment location, invoices, etc…

What We Are Looking For

- High school diploma
- This is primarily an office based position
- Valid Alberta Driver’s license and acceptable drivers abstract
- Experience using equipment tracking systems like Viewpoint, JD Edwards, or SAP an asset
- Basic construction and tool handling knowledge an asset
- Ability to work with many people in many locations with a desire to improve all aspects of the company and its processes.
- Proficient with MS Office software including; MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges in a dynamic business environment
- Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them
- Strong organization, analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
