The Role

Join a collaborative field operations team responsible for delivering exceptional service through customer installations, network maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities. This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who enjoys solving technical challenges, building customer relationships, and contributing to reliable network performance. The successful candidate will work independently in the field while partnering closely with teammates to support customer connectivity and service excellence.

The Main Responsibilities

- Perform customer installations, network installations, repairs, and service activations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical service issues using established procedures and tools.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure network reliability and performance.
- Diagnose and escalate complex technical issues as needed.
- Deliver a positive customer experience through professional communication and service interactions.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, service activities, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Collaborate with team members and support continuous operational improvements.
- Participate in on-call rotations after completion of training and support occasional after-hours work when required.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Required:

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience troubleshooting technical, mechanical, electrical, telecommunications, or IT-related issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve customer issues.
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing time and priorities in a field-based environment. Must be comfortable working outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, rain, wind, and other environmental elements while performing field-based responsibilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and professionalism.
- Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule with occasional overtime and after-hours support.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company-provided vehicle, where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience as an Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician, Outside Plant Technician, Fiber Technician, Field Service Technician, or similar technical role.
- Telecommunications, fiber, network infrastructure, electrical, HVAC, or data infrastructure experience.
- Experience performing customer installations, repairs, and network troubleshooting in a field environment.
- Help Desk, desktop support, or IT support experience with strong troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of telecommunications or network technologies.
- Proven ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated growth mindset, initiative, and integrity in daily work.
- Experience working directly with customers in a service-focused role.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$41,310 - $54,570 in these states: FL
