Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Access Coordinator to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

This is a full-time, day shift opportunity with occasional weekend call responsibilities.

The Medical Access Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting and increasing prescription capture for Baptist Specialty Pharmacy. In this role, you will collaborate the Medical Staff, patient, pharmacy, billing, insurance provider, patient communities, social services, contracted vendor(s), and other involved parties to drive excellent customer service delivery and profitability of BMC.

As the Medication Access Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

- Coordinating and increasing prescription capture for Baptist Specialty Pharmacy.
- Serving as a triage communicator between medical staff, patients, specialty pharmacy teams, billing departments, insurance providers, and other key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with contracted vendor to resolve medication fulfillment, prior authorization, reimbursement, and insurance-related issues to ensure timely patient access to therapy.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and support throughout the patient's medication access and treatment journey.
- Collaborating with healthcare providers, operational leadership, and support teams to optimize medication access outcomes and patient care.
- Developing, implementing, and enhancing outreach strategies to improve patient engagement, program growth, and operational performance.
- Monitoring, evaluating, and continuously improving the effectiveness of specialty pharmacy initiatives and workflows.
- Analyzing program performance metrics and supporting measurable business, financial, and patient care outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and pharmacy industry standards.
- Supporting initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction, medication adherence, and access to specialty medications.
- Building strong relationships with patients, providers, payers, contracted vendor(s), and community resources to facilitate seamless care coordination.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions that drive operational efficiency and program success.

Education & Credential Requirements:

- High School Diploma
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT/CPT) through PTCB
- Registered Pharmacy Technician through Florida Department of Health

Medication Access Coordinator Experience:

- Minimum of 5 years of Pharmacy Technician experience required.
- Experience working with specialty pharmacy, medication access programs, prior authorizations, insurance verification, patient assistance programs, or 340B pharmacy operations preferred.
