Summary
Lead sanitation operations that support food safety, production success, and operational excellence across the facility. As a Senior Sanitation Lead, you will oversee cleaning processes, promote compliance with sanitation and safety standards, and partner closely with supervisors, Quality Assurance, Production, and Maintenance teams to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment. You will play a key role in driving accountability, supporting team performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring sanitation objectives are achieved. Schedule : Sunday through Saturday, 12:00am-6:30am
Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor cleaning processes throughout the shift and ensure all Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) practices are followed properly.
- Coordinate with the Sanitation Supervisor regarding issues related to safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Conduct hourly safety audits in the FE/PO area during the cleaning process in partnership with the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Compile required reports regarding regular inspections and safety and sanitation violations.
- Work with the Sanitation Supervisor to resolve identified deficiencies.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility and equipment to ensure cleanliness.
- Investigate sanitation-related complaints and report findings to the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Work closely with other Senior Leads and Quality Assurance to resolve sanitation concerns.
- Collaborate with Leads to ensure tool accountability and support foreign material prevention efforts.
- Work with the Sanitation Supervisor to resolve sanitation concerns.
- Assist Sanitation Leads in inspecting premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
- Report unsanitary practices and conditions to the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Attend all meetings, including Lead huddles, morning opportunity meetings, safety committee meetings, and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) meetings.
- Ensure chemicals are properly titrated before use in the cleaning process.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the chemical cage.
- Assist Leads with repairing hoses and disassembling and reassembling equipment to support on-time startups.
- Work closely with the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure monitoring activities for MOS and the Safety App are completed.
- Communicate sanitation issues and concerns to the Sanitation Supervisor.
- Set and achieve goals successfully.
- Collaborate with the Sanitation Supervisor, sanitation associates, Production, and Maintenance to maintain positive working relationships.
Minimum Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of related experience with process equipment.
- Exposure to microbial, chemical, and workforce safety requirements.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Food industry experience.
- Knowledge of USDA requirements and Noncompliance Records (NRs).
- Understanding of food processing.
- Manual dexterity, good vision, and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Knowledge of environmental procedures.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend frequently.
- Ability to kneel as needed to perform job duties.
