Essential Functions:
- Overseeing and managing a team of sales representatives within the DFW territory
- Manage a designated territory with existing and potential customers
- Contact current and prospective customers to solicit business orders
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through cold calling
- Develop market strategy
- Meeting revenue and margin goals as established by Chief Sales Officer
- Recommend products to customers, based upon customer’s needs and interests
- Maintain records, reports and notes on daily orders, phone conversations with customers
- Keep ahead of industry’s developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
- Resolves customer challenges through investigation, developing solutions and making recommendations to management
- Build and maintain customer relationships; provide customer support with technical product information and preparing thorough and accurate quotes, order acknowledgements, samples, etc.
- Attend training and sales meetings as required to stay current with all company products
- Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
- Comply with all company rules, policies and procedures
Experience, Education and Skills:
- Experience: 3-5 years outside sales experience in industrial distribution.
- Education: College Degree preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Mechanically inclined – willing to work in industrial settings.
- Communication: Strong leadership skills. Strong organizational and follow up skills.
- Other Skills: Ability to work independently.
