Position Summary
The Business Development Associate plays an important role in supporting B.HOM's continued growth by helping coordinate business development opportunities, consulting engagements, and new client transitions.
Working closely with the Vice President of Business Development, this position supports opportunities from initial evaluation and research through proposals, due diligence, contract execution, and transition to operations. The Business Development Associate works across Operations, Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Systems, Operations Support, Facilities, Human Resources, and other teams to keep projects organized, deliverables on schedule, and opportunities moving forward.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining project coordination, financial analysis, research, and client-facing work in a fast-paced and growing organization.
What You'll Do
Business Development & Opportunity Support
- Support business development opportunities from initial evaluation through proposal development, due diligence, contract execution, and operational transition
- Assist with prospect research and evaluation of new business opportunities
- Coordinate information and deliverables across internal departments supporting active opportunities
- Track client requests, deadlines, decisions, action items, and next steps
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to keep opportunities and deliverables on schedule
- Support consulting engagements through research, analysis, project coordination, and preparation of client deliverables

- Develop client pitch decks and supporting presentation materials
- Coordinate input and revisions from internal subject matter experts
- Prepare materials for prospect meetings, client presentations, property tours, and transition meetings
- Document decisions, action items, responsibilities, and required follow-up

- Build and maintain budget and cash flow models for prospective management opportunities
- Gather and organize financial and operational assumptions used to evaluate opportunities
- Conduct market research and analysis, including enrollment trends and market performance indicators
- Analyze information to help identify target markets, communities, and potential growth opportunities
- Support deal strategy, pricing, and B.HOM's competitive positioning through research and analysis
Project Coordination
- Maintain project plans, timelines, task trackers, and deliverable schedules
- Coordinate responsibilities and deadlines across multiple internal departments
- Prepare project status updates and maintain organized project documentation
- Identify outstanding items, potential gaps, or delays and escalate them appropriately
- Maintain business development templates, financial models, presentations, research, and other resources
New Client & Property Transitions
- Support transition planning after B.HOM is awarded new business
- Maintain transition plans and trackers covering milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, deadlines, and deliverables
- Coordinate the handoff from Business Development to Operations and other functional teams
- Help ensure client expectations, commitments, assumptions, and agreed-upon deliverables are clearly documented and communicated
- Coordinate internal and external transition meetings, agendas, status updates, meeting notes, and follow-up
- Serve as a key point of coordination between internal transition teams and client stakeholders
The original role places substantial responsibility on coordinating the transition from Business Development into Operations and tracking deliverables across departments, so I would keep that element prominent rather than presenting this as primarily a sales role.
