Licensed Clinician (LSW/LAC)

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is a CARF-accredited, nonprofit provider of outpatient substance use and mental health services. We deliver respectful, high-quality care that supports recovery and wellness across our communities.

We’re hiring a Part-Time Bilingual Licensed Clinician (LSW or LAC) to support our Behavioral Health program at New Brunswick location. This is a great opportunity for a clinician who values trauma-informed, culturally responsive, person-centered care and wants to do meaningful work in a supportive team environment.

What You'll Do

- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

- Provide individual and group counseling in person and, when appropriate, through telehealth.

- Provide bilingual behavioral health services to clients and families.

- Support individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions.

- Use evidence-informed approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT/DBT-informed interventions, relapse prevention, and psychoeducation.

- Monitor client progress and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.

- Collaborate with clinical, medical, nursing, case management, peer support, and administrative teams.

- Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, training, case conferences, and quality-improvement activities.

- Support Mobile Unit and community-based services as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.

- Active New Jersey LSW or LAC license.

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

- Strong communication, clinical judgment, ethical decision-making, and documentation skills.

- Ability to provide culturally responsive, person-centered care.

- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

- Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer applications.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in outpatient behavioral health, substance use treatment, community mental health, or co-occurring disorders.

- Experience with MAT/OTP services.

- Experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups.

- Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT-informed interventions, relapse prevention, or recovery-oriented care.

Schedule & Location

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC)

Schedule: Part-time, approximately 15 -20 hours per week , with morning and afternoon shifts based on agency needs, program operations, and client availability.
