Castlewood Country Club , located in Pleasanton, CA , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Hos t! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation:
$16.90 - $17.00 per hour

Summary:
The host or hostess is the first point of contact for members and guests at the club, responsible for creating a positive and welcoming experience. This role involves greeting and seating members and guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with other staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.

Schedule:

- Must be available to work Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Key Responsibilities:

- Warmly welcomes members and guests upon arrival.

- Provides information about the club, such as specials.

- Manages the seating chart to optimize table turnover and balance server workload.

- Escorts guests to their tables and presents menus.

- Takes and confirms reservations by phone or through an online reservation system.

- Maintains an organized reservation book and updates it as needed.

- Communicates effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service.

- Handles member and guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally.

- Keeps the waiting area clean and organized.

- Monitors and manages member and guest wait times.

- Relays special requests and dietary restrictions to the kitchen.

- Works with servers to accommodate large parties and special events.

- Ensures menus are clean and in good condition.

- Keeps the host stand well-stocked with necessary supplies.

- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

- Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a customer service role preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.

- Familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

- Neat and professional appearance.

Physical Requirements:

- May be required to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
