The Graduate Admissions Counselor independently manages assigned aspects of the Graduate Student Recruitment and Admissions process, from initial inquiry through enrollment. The position develops and executes recruitment and communication strategies; counsels’ prospective students; evaluates application readiness and progression; manages assigned recruitment initiatives; and analyzes Admissions and Enrollment information to advance institutional enrollment goals. The Graduate Admissions Counselor exercises independent judgment in managing prospective student relationships, prioritizing recruitment activities, resolving routine admissions matters, and determining appropriate actions within established institutional and program policies. This position reports to the Director of Graduate Admissions. #CB
EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Higher Education Admissions or Recruiting, preferred
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree, required
SPECIAL SKILLS
Ability to travel overnight (non-standard hours); Ability to lift objects up to 40 pounds; Ability to effectively communicate with prospective students of diverse backgrounds and ages; Demonstrated skills in customer service, collaboration, planning, prioritization and organization
LICENSURE
Valid Louisiana Driver’s License; If moving to Louisiana, Louisiana Driver’s License is required within 30 days of the start date
