Night Shift
Responsibilities
- Provides advanced nursing care for critically ill patients requiring complex assessments, high-intensity interventions, and continuous monitoring.
- Uses clinical judgment and assessment data to anticipate, prioritize, and respond quickly to changing patient conditions.
- Operates, monitors, and adjusts specialized medical equipment and interprets data from monitoring systems.
- Responds to emergencies using established nursing standards, protocols, and life-saving interventions.
- Assesses patient needs, develops and revises individualized care plans, and evaluates patient outcomes.
- Advocates for patients and families while ensuring age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
- Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams and may serve as charge nurse, preceptor, or educator.
- Documents care accurately, delegates tasks appropriately, and ensures compliance with evidence-based practice and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Education/Training
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department.
Licensure/Certification
- Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
Experience
- Must have at least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care facility. 2 years or more is preferred.
