## Project Overview:

Thacker Pass is the largest known lithium resource in the United States. Once complete, the mine and processing facilities will produce more lithium carbonate than any other facility in the United States by far — enough to power 1 million electric vehicles per year.

As the EPCM contractor for Lithium Americas, Bechtel is responsible for managing and integrating the efforts of a team contractors engineering and building the facility. We are also managing procurement of about $1 Billion in goods and services.

The project is located in the high desert and wide-open spaces of north-central Nevada about 25 miles from the Oregon border, 1 hour northwest of Winnemucca, Nevada and 3 hours northeast of Reno.

Planned with sustainability and the environment in mind, the facility will use its excess process heat to generate electricity and will recycle process water up to seven times. Once the second phase of the project is complete, Thacker Pass will produce more than 16 times the current U.S. output of lithium.

## Job Summary:

The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, efficient, and contract-compliant operation of the project personnel transportation system. The position provides direct oversight of the transportation contractor, bus fleet, drivers, dispatch activities, maintenance program, route planning, safety compliance, and applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements.

The selected applicant will manage transportation as an integrated field operation that supports workforce shift changes, construction activities, camp operations, and other project needs without adversely affecting workforce safety, productivity, or project execution. The role requires regular field presence and independent, timely decisions to maintain service continuity. #LI-TH1

## Major Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the overall Transportation of project personnel to and from the Thacker Pass jobsite, off-site shuttle services,
- Provides oversight, instruction and adjustment notification to Transportation Contractors Supervision of new services, adjustment to existing services, works with Transport Contractors Supervision to ensure the provision of safe, efficient and on time personnel Transportation services to the Thacker Pass project in accordance with the scope of work.
- Monitoring bus deployment, establishment of new and revision of existing routes and stops,
- Daily monitoring and adjustment of arrival and departure times as directed by the Workforce Services Manager usage and modifying services as required.
- Management of daily and ad hoc (out of schedule bus services) to and from the job site from Bechtel approved locations
- Daily shuttle services to and from the site
- Scheduled Reno medical transportation services
- Coordinates, manages and supervises the ad hoc transport requirements for Bechtel and LAC site tours, off-site events.
- Review of Transport Contractors Maintenance records, ensuring that servicing and maintenance is performed at a minimum to be compliant with manufacturers recommendations and that only OEM parts are used for repairs.
- Ensuring the timely receipt and accuracy of Transport Contractors deliverables (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Reports for asset utilization, seat use.
- Daily liaison with the Transport Contractor’s appointed representatives and their field supervision; Scheduled and random asset inspections; Reporting upon Contractors work activities ensuring daily pre and post trip are being completed,
- Monitoring performance and utilization of assets for greatest efficiency while balancing the requirements of labor harmony;
- Involvement in the investigation and of incidents. (service non-compliance, vehicle accidents, livestock/wildlife strikes and passenger/driver related as applicable)
- Performs regular audits (weekly and monthly plus as directed) inspections of Contractors assets and records ensuring maintenance and cleaning is completed in accordance with the scope and any applicable change notices. This may involve the participation a third party SME inspector.
- Evaluation of daily and weekly reports to verify accuracy of Contractors invoicing.
- Other duties as directed within personal capabilities.

## Education and Experience Requirements:

- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13  years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience

## Required Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance and reliability, dispatch, route planning, scheduling, driver management, fatigue controls, transportation safety, incident investigation, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Practical experience overseeing driver drug and alcohol compliance programs, confidential records, contractor KPIs, performance deficiencies, and corrective actions.
- Ability to evaluate workforce forecasts, passenger demand, fleet capacity, road and seasonal risks, and operational contingencies in a complex field environment.
- Experience in mining, heavy construction, infrastructure, industrial, remote-site, or comparable operations; large workforce transportation and remote camp experience are preferred.
- Experience working with local communities, law enforcement, regulatory authorities, road agencies, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Commercial Driver License or comparable qualification and formal training in fleet management, logistics, transportation safety, or operations are desirable.
- Proficiency with fleet management, GPS or telematics, reporting, spreadsheet, word processing, and database applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
