Procedure Writer/Coordinator - IPS ITPM

What You'll Be Doing

Job Scope: Generally responsible for creating Instrumented Protective System (IPS) inspection, testing, and preventative maintenance (ITPM) procedures for use my plant maintenance personnel in ensuring full-functionality and reliability of IPS

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Ensure IPS ITPM procedures are in compliance with applicable regulatory, industry, and company codes and standards such as and Required Manufacturing Standard, Lifecycle Management of Instrumented Protective Systems.
- Standardize the existing IPS ITPM procedures with the new requirements
- Work with facility IPS Coordinators, I/E/A Maintenance Technicians, and Operations Representatives to ensure the IPS ITPM procedures can be performed as written without significant affects to plant operations
- Field verify IPS instrumentation for: PSI accuracy;
- Applicable technical information required for the ITPM procedures, and;
- Physical hazards to be identified in the associated procedures.

- Determine the best procedure content to ensure equipment reliability and personnel safety during the ITPM process
- Revise and/or remove IPS ITPM procedures as required throughout the IPS lifecycle
- Review and submit information required to create equipment records and preventative maintenance plans in SAP
- Redline and update PSI, as required
- Coordinate the scheduling and testing of IPS ITPM, as required
- Assist with the closure of gaps with applicable regulatory, industry, and company codes and standards, as required
- Reviewing plant equipment for inclusion in the instrumented mechanical integrity program

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.  Advanced coursework is highly preferred.

Certification: No certification is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires 5+ years esperience in the pertro chemical industry

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Must be able to interpret highly technical information and disseminate into a procedure in a format that is easily understandable by non-technical personnel
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience with SAP and/or other CMMS used for preventative maintenance scheduling
- Prior experience with chemical instrumentation industry
- Prior experience creating and maintaining ITPM procedures
- AutoCAD experience/certification considered a plus

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time.
