Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for a Live-in Direct Support Professional (DSP). You would be required to live with our person served. Here are a few perks to consider!

- Live-In DSP’s are provided a studio space with room and board at no cost !
- Live-In DSP’s would have their own separate living quarters within the home.  
- You do have the ability to view your living quarters prior to move in contract completion.
- Your family may be allowed to move into the quarters with you!
- Hours worked would be part-time, including  asleep overnight shifts
- Paid hours are $18.50 hr. and would include awake hours only (avg. 29 hours weekly)
- Additional work hours may be available if interested!

What You’ll Do:

- Provide Hands-On Care : Assist individuals with daily activities like personal care, meal prep, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry, all while fostering independence.
- Create a Safe & Welcoming Environment : Maintain a clean, safe space that ensures comfort and support while helping individuals reach their personal goals.
- Mentor & Guide : Provide supervision, positive reinforcement, and guidance to help individuals achieve their aspirations.

Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

- Minimum of 18 years of age 
- Valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance & reliable transportation
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication 
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English 
- Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods 
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Skills & Abilities

- Experience, training, or transferable skills that support success in a direct support role 
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills 
- Genuine interest in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities 
- Ability to promote independence, community engagement, and person-centered supports
