The Global Marketing Communications Director leads the development and execution of global marketing communications and promotional campaigns that support business growth across key regions and market segments. Serving as the primary link between business leadership, segment experts, commercial teams, and marketing communications, this role translates business strategy, customer insights, market needs, and segment priorities into impactful marketing programs.

The person in this position oversees a global Marketing Communications team responsible for campaign execution, collateral development, content adaptation, trade shows, and customer events. The role provides strategic direction, prioritization, governance, and coordination to ensure consistent and effective execution worldwide.

Working closely with regional agencies, commercial teams, and market leaders, the Global Marketing Communications Director aligns messaging, launch priorities, brand standards, and performance measurements across regions. Through a structured, collaborative, and locally responsive approach, the person in this role drives campaign effectiveness, brand consistency, and customer engagement in diverse markets.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead global marketing communication planning across regions, including annual priorities, launch plans, messaging frameworks, campaign toolkits, and budget input.

- Translate business, market, customer, and segment insights into marketing communications strategies and promotional campaigns that support business objectives.

- Serve as the marketing communications liaison between business leaders, commercial teams, product leaders, agencies, and the broader marketing and marketing services teams.

- Lead campaign intake, prioritization, planning, and execution across regions, ensuring effective localization and activation through in-market resources.

- Coordinate regional marketing leaders and partners to align campaigns, messaging, brand standards, and execution with business priorities.

- Track campaign, event, budget, and regional performance; share best practices, communicate market feedback, and recommend adjustments to improve results.

Tradeshow and Customer Events

- Develop and execute global tradeshow and customer event strategies that align with commercial priorities, support lead generation and customer engagement objectives, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

- Oversee major marketing campaigns and customer events, partnering with regional teams and agencies, to ensure consistent execution, resource alignment, brand compliance, and achievement of business objectives.

- Ensure event goals, logistics, agency support, and cross-functional resources are aligned to ensure successful execution and customer experiences.

Marketing Operations, Brand Guardianship, & Resource Management

- Establish and maintain scalable processes for campaign planning, approvals, localization, content development, asset management, reporting, and execution.

- Develop and deploy templates, briefs, launch materials, messaging frameworks, and toolkits that enable efficiency regional adaptation while maintaining brand consistency.

- Oversee marketing communications budgets, agency relationships, and resource planning.

- Lead implementation of global brand standards across campaigns, collateral, digital platforms, trade shows, customer events, and sales support materials.

- Monitor brand adoption, identify gaps, and implement governance and review processes to ensure consistent execution across regions, agencies, and marketing partners.

Team Leadership and Cross-Regional Coordination

- Lead, develop, and manage a global Marketing Communications team, establishing objectives, priorities, workflows, and performance expectations.

- Allocate resources and workloads to support business priorities and optimize team effectiveness.

- Foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and operational consistency across regions.

- Enable regional teams with the tools, guidance, and support needed to localize campaigns, execute events, and meet commercial objectives while maintaining brand standards.

Required Skills/Experience

- Bachelors degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.

- 8–10 years of experience in global, regional, or portfolio marketing, preferably in B2B or industrial markets.

- Proven success leading globally distributed marketing communications strategies, campaigns, agencies, and teams.

- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic oversight, guidance, and support for global trade shows, customer events, product launches, and integrated marketing campaigns ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand standards, and performance goals.

- Excellent communication, project management, collaboration, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working across languages, cultures, and regional go-to-market differences preferred.

- Knowledge of marketing automation, CRM, campaign analytics, and digital marketing platforms.

- Ability to travel, often internationally, 20–35%.
