SUMMARY

The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by adhering to all pickup and delivery schedules, preparing and organizing required documentation, and accurately verifying customer orders.   This role includes maintaining the organization of all storage areas, managing lot number control, monitoring inventory accuracy and safely operating material handling equipment.   Success in this role depends on attention to detail, efficiency, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to perform in a high volume, fast paced environment.

SHIFTS

- 5am-1:30pm, Monday - Friday
- Must be willing to work overtime as necessary to support shipping and receiving operations and to ensure all trucks are loaded and unloaded before the end of scheduled operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Verify all incoming deliveries for temperature compliance, order accuracy, and overall quality
- Verify all outgoing deliveries for temperature compliance, order accuracy, and overall quality
- Stock supplies in all storage areas using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method
- Organize and maintain all supplies in their designated storage locations
- Conduct a daily inspection of warehouse grounds and remove trash or debris as needed
- Report any maintenance needs or equipment needs to the Warehouse Supervisor and Production Manager
- Move equipment and materials safely and in accordance with company procedures
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with all departments to support workflow
- Maintain accurate finished product and raw material inventory within the inventory software system
- Ship finished product accurately following HMBC standard operating procedures
- Ensure every outgoing order is counted, verified, and documented on the delivery slip
- Maintain a professional level of customer service while interacting with truck drivers
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in a safe and professional manner
- Other role related duties as assigned
- Rotate to other areas of production if needed
- Comply with all GMP and SQF programs
- Adhere to company’s attendance policy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in food production preferred but not required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Production: This position requires constant exposure to a production environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial production equipment, and noise will be a common occurrence. May need to work overtime and occasionally Saturday to fulfill orders. Hours will vary depending on business and staffing needs.

The nature of production work requires the Warehouse Team Member to possess certain physical abilities. Those listed here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform this job. Most of the workday is spent standing or walking and working in close proximity to others. Eye-hand coordination, depth perception, finger dexterity, and functional vision and speech perception are required. Frequent bending, crouching, pushing/pulling and lifting/lowering of 20-100lbs. Regular repetitive motions with hands, wrists, or arms. Must be able to operate all equipment used in the facility. Some exposure to skin irritants, electrical equipment, and sharp instruments. Risk to these exposures is minimized by strict adherence to company standards, policies and procedures.
