- Receive and verify ALL incoming materials/supplies
Accountable for quality and quantity
- Use visual, dimensional and other testing/inspection procedures to verify quality and quantity of materials/supplies
- Cross reference ALL packing slips to corresponding purchase order
Notify Purchasing and Production Dept. of any shortages, damages or unacceptable product
- Electronically process all received materials/supplies
- Pull raw material stored in ‘cage’ necessary for production
- Organize by job number
- Reconcile inventory counts
- Assist purchasing and material handling personnel with various duties
- Assist QC inspectors with process inspections
- Unload trailers and ensure accuracy of incoming shipments
- Assist production associates with material needs/concerns
- Enter requisitions for supplies through the company’s web-based procurement system
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane is REQUIRED
- Strong math skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience involving product inspection
- Knowledge of common shipping practices
- Good computer skills a plus
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and web-based programs
- Ability to interpret blueprints
- Good attention to detail
