Primary Care Physician - Saddle Brook

Physician shall provide all appropriate general Internal Medicine or Family care within the scope of the physician's specialty and license, including but not limited to:

- Maintain the standard of care for the delivery of primary care medicine services:

- Meet all DNV and other regulatory requirements.

- Obtain complete history and record findings in a systematic format.

- Perform complete physical assessments.

- Order, perform and interpret routine laboratory tests.

- Order medications, referrals and or medical devices as needed.

- Ensure that appropriate preventative medicine testing is conducted on a routine basis.

- Participate with all quality improvement and assurance initiatives.

- Conduct appropriate follow up to ensure appropriate levels of patient care.

- Serve as practice site administrator during emergencies.

- Provide night and weekend call/triage coverage.

- Market the practice through direct physician to physician communication, community education, community service or other appropriate channels.

- Maintain and implement standards for health promotion and health maintenance.

- Follow current state, federal and local laws governing the delivery of care.

- Provide open and timely communication with patients, families and their significant others.

- Ensure that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times.

- Accept and care as applicable for indigent and clinic patients in a manner consistent with compassionate and ethical patient care.

- Accept all managed care plans accepted by Employer.

- Demonstrate knowledge of current coding guidelines and requirements and maintain an error rate within hospital guidelines (currently 5% or less).

- Complete required reporting in a timely manner, such as medical records.

- If conducting hospital rounds, ensure accurate and timely billing for hospital services.

- Submit all bills for outpatient and inpatient work in a timely manner to the Department of Physician Practice Management Support.

- Use and endorse the use of all of Hospital's automated systems, as appropriate.

- Physician shall participate in community education and scientific programs as may be delegated or assigned to the Physician by Chairperson/ leadership and/or the Hospital’s President.

- Additional duties as assigned by Chairperson/Chief Medical Officer or CEO.
