Pay is $16.55 per hour PLUS $2.00 shift differential.

MUST PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS TASKED BY ADMINISTRATION.MUST BE SAFE AND OBSERVE ALL OF TYSONS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while using a hand pallet jack while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate electric and/or manual pallet jacks to transport materials and products

- Move raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to designated areas

- Stage pallets for production, storage, or shipping as directed

- Verify product identification, quantities, and pallet condition prior to movement

- Maintain continuous product flow to support production and shipping operations

- Inspect pallet jacks before use and report equipment issues promptly

- Maintain clear and safe travel paths in production, warehouse, and dock areas

- Follow traffic patterns, pedestrian safety rules, and right-of-way procedures

- Assist with general material handling and warehouse tasks as needed

- Complete required documentation or system entries accurately

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas

- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements

- Comply with OSHA regulations and Tyson safety policies

- Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

- Ability to push, pull, and maneuver loaded pallet jacks

- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance

- Ability to work in cold, wet, or humid conditions typical of a fresh plant environment

Work Schedule

- Must be available to work assigned shifts

- Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on operational needs

Safety and Compliance Commitment

The Jack Driver Operator is expected to maintain a safe work environment and comply with Tyson policies, food safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and plant procedures. This role is critical to maintaining safe material movement and efficient operations at the Vicksburg Plant.
