Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Journeyman Electricians for projects located in or aoround Darien, CT . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $47/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend rigid metal, EMT, and PVC conduit
- Install conduit systems through walls, ceilings, and floors
- Mount and secure conduit, junction boxes, and electrical equipment using brackets, straps, and specialized fasteners
- Pull wire and complete circuit terminations for panels, switchgear, motors, and electrical systems
- Install and wire interior and exterior lighting, emergency and exit lights, switches, and receptacles
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
- Test electrical systems for continuity, functionality, and safety
- Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local building codes
- Maintain quality workmanship while adhering to all jobsite safety standards
Requirements:
- Valid Connecticut E1 or E2 Electrical License
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
- Proficiency with hand tools, conduit benders, threading machines, and power tools
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Working knowledge of conduit bending mathematics and electrical layouts
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred (online training may be provided if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces
- Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team
