Greenskeeper

Sydney R Marovitz Golf Course , located in Chicago, IL , is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Greenskeeper ! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon , you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:
$19.50 - $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility

- Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas

- Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water

- Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary

- Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways

- Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds

- Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course

- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
