Electrician - Journeyperson or Experience Apprentice

Roska DBO Inc. is recruiting an Electrician to join our maintenance team in Grande Prairie, AB.

We are looking for either a certified Journeyperson Electrician or a registered Apprentice Electrician. An experienced apprentice is preferred; however, we recognize strong candidates can come from different stages of apprenticeship and encourage qualified applicants to apply.

This is a hands-on role supporting electrical work in our Grande Prairie shop and at field locations as required. You will work closely with electrical, instrumentation, mechanical, Engineering, and operations teams, with opportunities to build exposure to a broad range of equipment and facility work. Some travel may be required.

What Youll Do

- Assist with electrical maintenance, projects, and equipment installations in the shop and field

- Troubleshoot electrical distribution, control systems, motors, generators, and related equipment

- Support commissioning, start-up, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment, including exposure to tubing, chemical pumps, shutdown checks, and calibrations as experience and training allow

- Install cable tray, bend, thread, and cut conduit, and pull cable

- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams

- Complete work safely, accurately, and in accordance with applicable codes, procedures, and project requirements

- Work collaboratively with maintenance, operations, mechanical, and fabrication personnel

What You Bring

- Journeyperson Electrician certification or current registration in an Electrical Apprenticeship program

- Valid Class 5 drivers licence and a clean drivers abstract

- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test

- A strong safety mindset, reliable work ethic, and willingness to learn

- Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently, take direction, and contribute effectively within a fast-paced team environment

- Legal entitlement to work in Canada

Assets

- Oil and gas, industrial, plant, or facility electrical experience

- Experience with electrical distribution, control systems, instrumentation, or commissioning work

- Experience with various motors and generators used in oil and gas operations

- Familiarity with SCADA systems, facility power systems, or equipment testing

- Experience working alongside mechanical and operations teams in a multi-discipline environment
