Community Service Representative

Center City District (CCD) is currently seeking outgoing, motivated, hospitality-minded individuals to join our team as a Community Service Representative (CSR). As a CSR you will support the mission of CCD, serving as a visible, welcoming, and reassuring presence on the sidewalks of Center City, providing information and assistance to those who work, live and visit our district.

CSRs actively engage with people, communicating clearly and providing exceptional customer service to those seeking to enjoy the diverse cultural, business, restaurant and entertainment attractions in Center City. They also assist in troubleshooting issues that arise and report public safety concerns that they encounter. CSRs also serve as a main point of contact to ground floor businesses, office buildings, hotels, and residential buildings, welcoming new businesses to the district and providing information and assistance when needed.

Interested candidates must be able to work Tuesday through Saturday, 8a to 4p.

Qualifications

- Ability, when communicating, to use a handheld, two-way radio requiring manual dexterity as well as other electronic devices issued by the CCD.

- Ability to use a touch screen portable electronic computer device (tablet).

- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in varied weather conditions.

- Ability to carry an equipment bag with all required equipment totaling no more than ten (10) pounds, and lift and carry up to 20 lbs.

- Ability to observe activity within the CCDs boundaries and report as appropriate.

- Ability to work outside in inclement weather with exposure to varied weather conditions.

- Outgoing personality with excellent customer service skills.

- Excellent people skills.

- Must be fluent in the English language in both oral and written communication, fluency in other languages a plus.

- Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment, supporting the CCD in a wide variety of activities.
