Rosina Food Products is hiring skilled and mechanically inclined Production Machine Operators to operate equipment throughout our food-manufacturing process.
Instead of applying to multiple Machine Operator postings, candidates can apply once and will be considered for the production area that best matches their experience and skills. Available opportunities may include Mixing, Forming, automated production and freezer operations, or Secondary Packaging.
This position is best suited for someone who has experience operating manufacturing equipment, completing setups and changeovers, monitoring production, performing quality checks, and troubleshooting basic equipment issues.
What Youll Do
Depending on your assigned production area, responsibilities may include:
- Operate industrial mixing, grinding, forming, weighing, packaging, or other automated production equipment.
- Start, stop, set up, and adjust equipment according to production requirements.
- Complete product and equipment changeovers.
- Read production schedules, batch sheets, product specifications, and work instructions.
- Verify ingredients, packaging materials, labels, product codes, and production information.
- Stage raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Monitor equipment performance and production flow.
- Check product weight, consistency, appearance, quality, and packaging.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment and production issues.
- Escalate mechanical, quality, or food-safety concerns when necessary.
- Complete production, quality, and equipment documentation accurately.
- Perform routine equipment checks.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Sanitation, and Maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all food-safety, GMP, quality, and sanitation requirements.
Production Areas
Successful candidates may be placed in one of the following areas based on their experience, skills, and current business needs:
Mixing and Ingredient Preparation
- Operate industrial mixers and grinders.
- Read batch sheets and verify ingredients.
- Stage raw materials.
- Monitor product consistency.
- Support spice-room and grind-area operations.
Forming
- Operate food-forming equipment.
- Complete machine setups and changeovers.
- Monitor production flow.
- Make basic equipment adjustments.
- Inspect product quality and troubleshoot production issues.
Automated Production and Freezer Operations
- Operate automated production lines, scales, and weighing systems.
- Monitor product movement through temperature-controlled production areas.
- Verify product weights and quality.
- Support freezer, triangle-line, and automated-equipment operations.
Secondary Packaging
- Operate packaging equipment.
- Verify labels, packaging materials, and product codes.
- Inspect finished products for quality and appearance.
- Pack, stack, and prepare products for shipment.
- Identify and report packaging or equipment concerns.
What Were Looking For
- Previous machine-operation, manufacturing, production, or equipment experience is strongly preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning how equipment works.
- Experience completing machine setups, adjustments, or changeovers is preferred.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to read production instructions and complete documentation accurately.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with Production, Quality, and Maintenance.
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work a rotating 12-hour schedule.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical production work throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in refrigerated or temperature-controlled manufacturing areas as needed.
Food-manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Candidates with machine-operation experience from other manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply.
Pay and Benefits
- $22–$24 per hour, depending on experience
- Additional $1.50 per hour for night shift

Schedule
This position follows a rotating 12-hour, 2-2-3 schedule :
- Morning Shift: 6:00 AM–6:30 PM
- Night Shift: 6:00 PM–6:30 AM
You will work two days on, two days off, and then three days on. This schedule provides built-in long weekends every other week.
Candidates must be available to work the full rotating schedule, including every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
