General Summary
Responsible for ensuring patient-centered care in the ambulatory and inpatient care settings for patients with cardiac electronic devices such as pacemakers, cardiac defibrillators, loop recorders and Holter monitors used for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. They will collaborate with Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Advanced practitioners, cardiac device technologists and other members of the patient care team to achieve optimal clinical outcomes.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Diploma Program Required or
- Associates Degree Required
- Bachelors Degree Bachelors of Science, Nursing (BSN) Preferred
Work Experience:
- 2 years Relevant experience. Required
- 2 years Background in electrophysiology preferred with experience with implantable devices and cardiac nursing. Preferred
Licenses:
- Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or
- Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Basic/Advanced Pacemaker. Upon Hire Required and
- Cardiac arrhythmia/rhythm recognition. Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of device functionality, arrhythmias and internal electrograms.
- Must be able to multi-task and efficiently perform job duties.
- Must be customer focused and have strong communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently.
