Position Summary:
Dee Zee, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern to support projects that improve product quality and reliability. This internship offers hands-on experience analyzing production data, participating in root cause investigations, and assisting in the development of quality documentation in a manufacturing environment.
Accountabilities:
- Analyze quality data (e.g., FTT%, PPM) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in problem-solving activities to determine root causes and corrective actions.
- Create and update documentation such as control plans, operator instructions, and appearance standards.
- Assist in developing reports and dashboards to communicate quality metrics across the organization.
- Support continuous improvement projects and report progress to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Sophomore, Junior, or Senior pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
- Ability to follow direction, adapt to different tasks, and manage deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness and ability to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and variable temperatures.
