JOB PURPOSE:
Perform functions that include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Preparing and completing orders for delivery according to schedule. This includes packing, wrapping, labeling, loading and shipping.
- Shipping, receiving, and unloading trucks and check in merchandise
- Uses forklift, pallet jacks, ladders, and other material handling & warehouse equipment
- Receives, and verifies paper work and quantity for incoming raw materials into the stockroom locations
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Assist in performing physical kitting and transactional issues for production work orders
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Experience/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Required:
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of work experience in a warehouse environment
- Familiar with most logistic carriers within the US and Overseas
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
- Ability to comprehend and comply with company safety and quality standards
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Computer skills within a manufacturing environment
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all SPG and Dupont safety policies and procedures.
WORKING COND IT IONS:
Works under immediate supervision. This position requires moderate lifting 10 - 50 pounds occasional lifting and moving of more than 100 pounds. About 75% of the time will be spent moving around the warehouse to perform warehouse functions and about 25% will be spent sitting and working at a computer.
