Carris Reels Inc. (Statesville, NC) has a Maintenance Technician position available.

All facility classifications will be expected to cross train into any position, if the need arises, and be willing and able to work overtime on multiple shifts, to include callback and holidays.

Job summary:

The Maintenance Tech will perform a variety of tasks involved in the up-keep, repair and improvement of Company facilities, property, and equipment. This position will work under limited general supervision to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventative maintenance on the facility, grounds and industrial equipment within the facility to improve efficiency by minimizing down time. This will include, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, minor electrical and plumbing. This position will support bringing in new equipment set-up, which may include onsite deployment, installation and training for completed systems.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- High school diploma preferred but not required.

- Experience as a maintenance technician with knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices. Knowledge of all safety regulations and requirements

- Basic understanding of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and other systems.

- Valid NC drivers license required.

- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other business applications.

- Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills, bilingual a plus.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to details and ability to multi-task. The ability to work independently, as well as with a team.

- Manual dexterity and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime and on-call duty, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements: 

Position requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and use of stairs and ladders. Must be able to work safely on elevated positions and structures, including climbing ladders or working on scaffolds and able to properly lift and carry 50+ pounds. This position is exposed to conditions ranging from rain, direct sunlight, loud noise, dusty conditions, high heat, extreme cold, wooded areas, and vegetation. Manual dexterity (multi-limb, hand and eye coordination) and physical stamina are a must.
