Overview With hundreds of millions of users and tens of thousands of business customers across every industry and region, M365 is a key driver of Microsoft’s leadership in cloud services and the shift toward AI-powered productivity. We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager, ideally with a background in security or identity, to lead key security initiatives for the platform and its partners across Microsoft. This position is based in Redmond, Washington and requires the employee be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week. Responsibilities <div dir="ltr"><ul><li>Lead the design and implementation of secure-by-default features and systems across our partner and developer ecosystem.</li><li>Engage with partner teams to understand and prioritize security risks, drive actionable mitigation plans through closure, scale protections across cloud environments, and operationalize start-green, stay-green practices that prevent risk from recurring.</li><li>Play a key role in detecting, investigating, and mitigating security threats; engage in post-incident reviews for security incidents, drive corrective actions to closure, and work alongside architects to translate lessons learned into durable engineering improvements.</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency with AI and agentic workflows by imagining, designing, and executing a dynamic roadmap that proactively identifies, investigates, and mitigates emerging threats and attack vectors.Shape strategy, vision, and product and technical whitepapers with senior stakeholders, and present recommendations to executive audiences.</li><li>Build strong relationships with partner teams that leverage our platform, enabling their success while advancing shared security goals.</li><li>Define objectives, key results, metrics (KPIs), and SLAs to measure the impact and success of our security investments.</li><li>This role offers significant visibility and growth opportunities, with the chance to shape security strategy and reduce risk across one of the world’s most critical cloud platforms.</li></ul></div> Qualifications <h3>Required Qualifications:</h3><div><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development<ul><li>OR equivalent experience.</li></ul></li></ul></div><div>Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:<ul><li>Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications:</h3><div><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development<ul><li>OR equivalent experience.</li></ul></li><li>Demonstrated expertise in security or identity.</li><li>Proven ability to lead and influence across cross-functional teams and communicate complex product and technical concepts to executive leadership.</li><li>2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).</li><li>4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).</li></ul></div></div> Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
