This capability enhances how users interact with data, powering smarter analytics, natural language experiences, and AI-driven scenarios that turn data into actionable understanding at scale.</div><div>We value different perspectives and invite you to tap into the collective power of our team so that our customers can be better served.</div> Responsibilities <ul><li>Design and deliver AI-powered capabilities using large language models (LLMs), with a focus on effective context management, reliability, and measurable customer value.</li><li>Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions using technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB and semantic search to provide relevant, grounded responses.</li><li>Apply AI-assisted and agentic development practices and tools to improve engineering productivity, quality, and delivery.</li><li>Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to translate customer needs and organizational priorities into scalable technical solutions.</li><li>Contribute to the long-term technical direction of the team by evaluating emerging AI approaches, sharing knowledge, and improving engineering practices.</li><li>Maintain high standards for security, privacy, Responsible AI, operational excellence, and service reliability.</li><li>Embody our culture and values.</li></ul> Qualifications Required/Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience</li><li>Experience designing, developing, or operating production software systems or services.</li><li>Experience developing applications or services using large language models (LLMs), retrieval systems, semantic search, or other AI/ML technologies.</li></ul>Job Requirements: Other & Additional Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:<ul><li>This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.</li></ul>Preferred/Additional Qualifications<ul><li>Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.</li><li>Additional skills to strengthen across the team include hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), particularly context management and optimization; building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions using Cosmos DB and semantic search; and adopting agentic development practices with tools such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate implementation, testing, and delivery.</li></ul> Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $114,400 - CAD $203,900 per year.
