Job Description
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans
- Provide preventive and wellness care throughout all stages of a pet's life
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform routine surgical procedures and assist with more complex cases as appropriate
- Provide dental examinations, procedures, and treatment recommendations
- Interpret laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and other clinical findings
- Educate clients regarding preventive care, treatment options, medications, nutrition, and long-term health
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
- Collaborate with fellow veterinarians and veterinary support staff to provide excellent patient care
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, medical quality, and client service
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Qualifications
We're looking for a veterinarian who:
- Holds or is eligible for a West Virginia veterinary license
- Has a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- Values high-quality, compassionate medicine
- Communicates effectively with clients and teammates
- Enjoys working in a collaborative environment
- Wants to build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets
- Is committed to continued learning and professional growth
