HOLT Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a High School Intern! This internship is designed to be an entry-level position that will work with our Accounts Payable department. Under the direction and guidance of a Supervisor, the Intern will receive on-the-job training in order to learn and develop in all department functions.
Essential Functions
- Shadows Department functions and receives hands-on training
- Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly condition
- Receives reviews and coaching with the designated mentor
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Basic computer skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Basic math calculations and the ability to read, write, and understand work instructions
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be in a relevant Business or Finance program
- Must be at least 16 years and a Junior or Senior in High School
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Frequently moves product or equipment weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
Work Environment:
- This job is generally performed in a warehouse environment; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating a computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
- Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
