About Tokaido Health Tokaido Health is an AI-native medication navigation platform that helps self-insured employers dramatically reduce the cost of specialty medications and infusions – without disrupting plan design or changing PBMs. We combine infusion site-of-care navigation, biosimilar substitution, and formulary optimization into a single platform, backed by behavioral economics-driven incentives that actually move members to act.
We closed our seed round in April 2026 with backing from Norwest, Primary Ventures, and Next Ventures, and are targeting a January 1, 2027 commercial launch. We’re building a company that is deeply trusted by the employers and consultants we serve – and we're looking for our first sales hire to help make that a reality.
The Opportunity You’re a hands-on operations generalist collaborating with the founding team. At Tokaido, operations is a horizontal function — a common backbone underneath specialized verticals like product, revenue, people, etc. In this role, you'll tackle whatever the business needs most, claim ownership across multiple domains, and design scalable processes and products from 0 to 1.
What You’ll Do You won't touch all of it on day one, but this is the world you'll be living in.
- Business Operations: Work alongside the leadership team to handle and mature ongoing corporate and organizational activities (banking, reports filing, vendor management, etc.).
- Compliance: Own and drive our security and compliance initiatives, working cross-functionally to keep processes and controls audit-ready.
- People: Build and manage people initiatives including but not limited to: benefits administration, streamlined onboarding, and compliance/training programs.
- Customer Success: Take our customer deployments from 0 to 1, build playbooks, and manage a smooth onboarding and go-live process. Tight ship, organized and prompt.

Required Skills
- Prior operating experience in healthtech, or a similarly fast-paced, regulated industry.
- Experience in a cross-functional execution role — comfortable managing a project team from scratch.
- A generalist mindset: comfortable jumping into any project, and energized rather than overwhelmed by ambiguity.
- Strong ownership and agency, with little guidance — you act without waiting to be told what to do.
- High execution orientation with excellent attention to detail.

Strongly Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting SOC 2, HITRUST, or similar compliance/audit processes is a plus.
- Exposure to HR, talent acquisition, or recruiting operations is a plus.
- Experience building internally leveraging AI tooling is a plus.
