Job Summary

The Sacramento Kings are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Locker Room Attendant to support the day-to-day operations of the teams locker room and basketball facilities. This position assists with locker room preparation, laundry, uniforms, equipment, supplies, and general upkeep to ensure players, coaches, and basketball operations staff have a clean, organized, and professional environment.

The ideal candidate demonstrates discretion, takes pride in providing exceptional service, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced professional sports environment. This role requires a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, practices, home games, and other team activities as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain locker rooms for practices, home games, workouts, and other basketball-related activities.

- Set up player lockers with uniforms, apparel, towels, footwear, and other requested items.

- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, organize, and distribute uniforms, practice gear, towels, and other team laundry.

- Assist with the daily organization, inventory, distribution, and storage of uniforms, apparel, equipment, and locker room supplies.

- Ensure locker rooms, training areas, player spaces, and related work areas remain clean, orderly, fully stocked, and ready for use.

- Assist with pregame and postgame locker room setup and breakdown.

- Support equipment staff with packing, unpacking, loading, and organizing team equipment and supplies.

- Coordinate promptly with equipment and basketball operations staff to address player and coach requests.

- Monitor inventory levels and notify the appropriate team member when supplies need to be replenished.

- Follow established procedures for the handling, care, and storage of team-issued apparel and equipment.

- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding players, coaches, team activities, medical information, business operations, and any information observed or discussed in restricted areas.

- Provide professional, respectful, and responsive service to players, coaches, staff, officials, and approved guests.

- Follow all NBA, Sacramento Kings, facility, safety, security, hygiene, and sanitation policies.

- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

- Basketball experience required, with the ability to competently rebound and pass for players during pregame warmups.

- Previous experience in an athletic locker room, equipment room, laundry operation, hospitality setting, or similar service-oriented environment preferred.

- Dependable, organized, and able to work efficiently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.

- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and commitment to confidentiality.

- Willingness to perform hands-on work and assist wherever needed.

- Familiarity with laundry equipment and garment-care procedures preferred.

Schedule Requirements

- Must be available to work a flexible and variable schedule based on the teams calendar.

- Availability may include early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays, practices, home games, training camp, and special events.

- Hours may vary from week to week and may extend beyond the scheduled end time based on team needs.

- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

- Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.

- Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment and safely handle laundry products and cleaning supplies.

- Ability to work in environments that may include heat, moisture, noise, and exposure to used athletic apparel and equipment.
