This Role is Tailor-Made for You Because:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Merchant to support the Outlet Handbags business. This role plays a critical part in the successful execution of seasonal assortments through ownership of merchandising systems, sample management, milestone readiness, and day-to-day business operations.
The ideal candidate is proactive, accountable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They enjoy bringing structure and organization to complex workflows and take pride in keeping teams prepared, informed, and ahead of schedule.
A Day in the Life:
Product & Business Support
• Maintain and support seasonal line plans, assortment tools, and product recaps
• Assist with hindsight analyses, competitive research, and business reporting
• Develop a strong understanding of the Handbags business and seasonal assortment
PLM & Systems Management
• Own product setup and maintenance within PLM and related merchandising systems
• Ensure product information, attributes, pricing, and classifications are accurate and completed on time
• Partner cross-functionally to maintain data integrity and support milestone readiness
Sample Management
• Own organization and tracking of all handbag samples throughout the seasonal lifecycle
• Coordinate samples for milestones, market appointments, presentations, photoshoots, and key business meetings
• Maintain sample inventories, trackers, and storage organization
Operational Excellence
• Support milestone preparation and execution across the Handbags business
• Maintain trackers, calendars, and key deliverables
• Monitor action items and proactively follow through to completion
• Identify risks, gaps, and outstanding needs before they become urgent
Cross-Functional Partnership
• Build strong partnerships across Merchandising, Design, Product Development, Production, Planning, and CMP
• Communicate proactively regarding deadlines, product information, sample needs, and deliverables
• Demonstrate strong responsiveness, follow-through, and accountability
To Land This Role:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0-2 years of merchandising, buying, planning, retail, product development, or related experience
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Ensures samples, milestones, and key deliverables are organized and executed seamlessly
• Anticipates needs and keeps workstreams moving forward

Compensation Range
The compensation range for this position is 24.00 USD - 31.00 USD. Our offer will be based on your relevant experience and work location.
