What You'll Do

- Review short-term and Long-term demand for steel products and create detailed production plans to meet that demand
- Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast changes and demand variability
- Participate in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
- Prepare supply planning inputs, capacity analysis, and inventory projections for S&OP reviews
- Identify risks and opportunities impacting supply, inventory, service, or cost performance
- Recommend corrective actions to align supply plans with business objectives
- Analyze root causes of supply disruptions and inventory issues
- Maintain 26-week detailed production schedule for multiple Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel mills located in the northeast United States
- Coordinate with operations teams in mills and ensure efficient sequence of production
- Work with schedulers to facilitate weekly production meetings with operations, logistics, and sales teams
- Provide forward looking analysis to adjust production to prevent over/under production
- Maintains data for production speeds / capacity
- Create and manage replenishment plans between mills and warehouse depots to support customer service objectives
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

What You'll Need

- Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
- Experience with SAP business or functional analytics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer knowledge of MS office products emphasis on Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to lead through influence and trusted collaboration rather than through authority

Your Education

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
