# Job Description Summary
GE HealthCare is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sourcing Intern to join our Integrated Supply Chain team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management activities, cost savings projects, and cross-functional collaboration within a global medical technology organization.
The Sourcing Intern will work closely with sourcing leaders, operations, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams to support business objectives and drive operational excellence. This role offers valuable exposure to procurement processes, market analysis, supplier development, and data-driven decision-making in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Description

As a Sourcing Intern, you will support sourcing and procurement professionals in the execution of strategic initiatives that improve supplier performance, reduce costs, mitigate supply risks, and support product and manufacturing requirements. You will contribute to projects that directly impact GE HealthCare's ability to deliver innovative healthcare solutions while learning best practices in supply chain and sourcing management.

Key Responsibilities

- Support sourcing and procurement teams with supplier management and strategic sourcing activities.
- Analyze spend data, supplier performance metrics, and market trends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with supplier RFQs (Requests for Quotation), bid analysis, and sourcing recommendations.
- Support cost reduction and productivity initiatives through data analysis and benchmarking efforts.
- Participate in supplier meetings, business reviews, and cross-functional project discussions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Operations teams to support business objectives.
- Assist in monitoring supplier delivery performance, quality metrics, and risk mitigation activities.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, emerging technologies, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in:

- Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Procurement
- Operations Management
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Related field

- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (preferred minimum standard).
- Must be at least a Sophomore
- Must be returning to school in the fall of 2027
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship during the internship period.
- Must be willing to relocated to Salt Lake City, UT

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior internship, co-op, project, or leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations.
- Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel Power Query, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Exposure to supplier negotiations, procurement processes, or supply chain analytics.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working on team-based projects with measurable results.
- Demonstrated leadership through campus organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or student projects.
- Interest in healthcare, medical devices, manufacturing, or global supply chain operations.
