The Senior Manager, Warehouse & Kitting Operations leads high-performing teams responsible for all processes associated with material receipt, movement, storage, staging, kitting, and distribution within CAR T commercial operations. This position plays a critical role in warehouse and kitting processes, ensuring appropriate controls, complete material traceability, kit accuracy, and efficient, on-time delivery of materials and production kits to manufacturing. The Senior Manager leads operations across multiple shifts while driving strategic and operational efficiencies, cost savings, inventory accuracy, and strong leadership actions. The position assures compliance with cGMP requirements and applicable policies, regulations, and certifications including training, documentation, standard operating procedures, and corporate policies. In support of the operation, the Senior Manager utilizes business reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SharePoint) and emerging AI capabilities to monitor performance, report key metrics, and drive data-informed decision making. The Senior Manager will maintain a compliant, effective, and efficient operation that meets or exceeds site goals and objectives.

Shift Available:

- Monday - Friday, Onsite Day Shift, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

- Manage daily warehouse operations within a validated warehouse management system (EWM) and across the CAR T supply chain network for the receipt, movement, and storage of raw materials and components
- Maintain shipping, receiving, staging, kitting, and storage areas that are compliant, efficient, effective, and safe
- Oversee material transfers between sites as well as an offsite 3PL facility
- Engage with various groups to expedite receipts and ensure appropriate sampling / inspection of incoming materials
- Manage the cycle counting process; interface with Cost Accounting and Internal Audits to coordinate, manage, and perform regular physical inventory counts as scheduled
- Maintain inventory accuracy and complete material traceability across all storage locations, including ambient, cold-room, and ultra-low temperature environments

Kitting Operations

- Lead all kitting operations supporting commercial manufacturing, ensuring production kits are assembled accurately, completely, and in alignment with the manufacturing schedule
- Oversee kit design, bill of material (BOM) accuracy, component staging, kit assembly, verification, and delivery to manufacturing
- Establish and maintain kitting standard work, right-first-time quality standards, and capacity plans that flex with manufacturing demand
- Ensure lot-level traceability of all kitted components and appropriate segregation, labeling, and status control of materials throughout the kitting process
- Partner with Manufacturing, Planning, and Quality to resolve kit discrepancies, shortages, and expedites with a sense of urgency

Leadership & Team Development

- Lead a team of Managers and front-line staff across multiple shifts, including all training, performance evaluations, and career development
- Manage implementation and maintenance of appropriate training curricula
- Foster a collaborative culture that drives good decision making, individual accountability, high ethics, and compliance
- Create an environment of teamwork, open communication, and a sense of urgency
- Provide a safe and healthy work environment for staff and ensure compliance with policies and regulations; promote and engage the team in the safety training program
- Act as a change agent in a fast-paced environment to promote flexibility, creativity, and accountability

Compliance, CAPA & Deviation Management

- Create and implement procedures and policies governing warehouse and kitting operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional system partners and represent Warehouse & Kitting Operations in CAPA and deviation reviews and communication
- Investigate events and effectively prepare communication to address questions and issues
- Lead internal organization and project teams to advance departmental quality matters (including but not limited to deviations, CAPAs, and change control evaluations)
- Critically review investigations, interpret results, and work with SMEs to generate conclusions consistent with quality risk management principles

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

- Coordinate, communicate, and provide essential Warehouse & Kitting Operations project information and activity status to Development, Clinical, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance / Operations, Global Supply, and other associated functions in a timely manner
- Build trust and productive relationships with peers and stakeholders; drive collaboration across the company and with external partners
- Lead multi-functional and multi-location teams through project identification and implementation for both short- and long-term projects
- Identify strategic and operational issues both internally and externally, develop proposals, outline solutions, and provide time commitments and resources
- Deliver business results through timely and quality decision making

Business Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Collect, analyze, and report key information impacting warehouse and kitting operations using Excel and business reporting / visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SharePoint)
- Collaborate with departmental leads to create, manage, and publish KPIs and metrics, including data supporting daily Tier meetings
- Leverage AI-enabled tools, where appropriate, to streamline reporting, analysis, and routine business processes, and identify practical use cases for AI within the operation
- Seek out and support continuous process improvement projects both within the department and across site collaborative initiatives

Job Safety Requirements & Essential Physical Demands

- Able to lift up to 60 lbs at knee/waist height and 30 lbs to shoulder height using proper body mechanics; push/pull materials requiring up to 60 lbs of force
- Able to operate material-handling equipment (manual and powered pallet jacks, forklifts, pallet exchangers, stretch wrappers) per training and authorization
- Able to perform repetitive tasks, prolonged standing, bending, and reaching
- Able to safely handle chemical disinfectants, flammable materials, and hazardous chemicals
- Able to handle dry ice and frozen materials, access ultra-low freezers (-80°C), and work in cold-room environments (2–8°C)
- Able to independently don, doff, and wear required PPE throughout the shift, including safety shoes and cut-resistant gloves
- Able to use step stools to reach and handle materials

Knowledge & Skills:

- Advanced knowledge of warehouse and kitting operations, including best industry practices, application of principles, concepts, practices, standards, validation, and qualification
- Advanced knowledge of cGMP/GDP/Pharmaceutical regulations
- Advanced knowledge of Quality systems
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA, DEA, USP, and other applicable warehouse regulations
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems / WMS applications and analytics tools
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and business reporting / data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SharePoint); proficiency in MS Office applications
- Familiarity with AI tools and their applicable uses in warehouse, supply chain, and business operations
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
- Advanced project management experience handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and innovation opportunities within the GMP warehouse, kitting, and 3rd-party warehouse operations, providing input into broader materials management improvement opportunities
- Understanding of cell culture, cryopreservation, purification, and aseptic processing or lab technique
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
- Ability to interpret / write technical documents
- Ability to travel 5% - 10% of time

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field; an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 8 years of combined experience in materials management, warehousing, kitting, manufacturing, and/or supply chain operations.
- Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience within a manufacturing, supply chain, or operational environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP regulations and industry best practices.

Compensation Overview:
Summit West - NJ - US: $135,810 - $164,573


The starting pay range(s) listed above is for full-time employees (FTE). You may also be eligible for additional discretionary incentive cash and stock opportunities. We determine starting pay thoughtfully – carefully considering the nature of the role, required skills, work location, schedule and the knowledge and experience you bring. Final compensation is guided by pay equity principles and applicable employment laws. Compensation programs are reviewed on an ongoing basis and may be adjusted over time to reflect evolving market factors, and individual, team or Company performance.

U.S.-based exempt employees are eligible for Flexible Time Off (FTO), which provides paid time off without a set accrual limit, subject to manager approval, along with 11 paid company holidays each year.

Non-exempt employees, RayzeBio employees, and employees located in Puerto Rico receive 160 hours of paid vacation annually for new hires (subject to manager approval), 11 paid company holidays, and 3 optional holidays.
