Position Overview

The Analyst, Dispatch & Operations Logistics, will lead the coordination and execution of freight, trucking, dispatch, and logistics activities across Invenergy’s Central Warehouse, Central Machine Shop, ICMS / ICW, and broader Operations organization. The position will book loads, manage trucks and carrier relationships, administer logistics contracts, manage vendor payment processes, and allocate transportation resources in a cost-effective and compliant manner. This position will report to the Manager, Warehouse & Logistics.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Dispatch and Load Booking  - Coordinate day-to-day load booking, truck dispatch, delivery scheduling, and shipment tracking for Central Warehouse, Central Machine Shop, ICMS / ICW, and Operation's needs. Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding pickup status, delivery timing, delays, and schedule changes.
- Carrier & Performance Management - Lead contract negotiations and manage carrier, broker, 3PL, and transportation vendor relationships throughout the supplier lifecycle, including sourcing, onboarding, contract administration, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and renewal or termination. Evaluate pricing, service levels, commercial terms, liability, insurance, and accessorial charges; ensure compliance with agreed terms; and lead corrective action discussions related to performance issues regarding cost, safety, reliability, documentation, responsiveness, and contractual obligations.
- Compliance and Documentation  - Maintain accurate logistics documentation, including bills of lading, proof of delivery, receiving paperwork, shipment records, insurance documentation, and other transportation-related records. Ensure compliance with applicable transportation, safety, site access, and internal documentation requirements.
- Operations and Warehouse Support  - Work closely with ICMS, ICW, Central Warehouse, Central Machine Shop, and Operations teams to support owner-supplied equipment movement, material transfers, shop-related deliveries, parts movement, field support requests, and urgent logistics needs.
- Reporting and Issue Escalation  - Maintain dispatch trackers, load status reports, vendor performance notes, invoice support records, and cost tracking materials. Escalate delivery delays, vendor non-performance, documentation gaps, payment issues, and operational risks to management in a timely manner.
- Budget Management and Forecasting - Develop, manage, and track logistics and transportation budgets. Monitor actual costs against budget and forecast, investigate variances, and identify opportunities to reduce freight, detention, standby, and expedited-shipping expenses. Allocate trucks, carriers, and logistics resources based on operational priority, delivery requirements, cost, availability, and service performance. Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve utilization.
- P&L Reporting and Financial Performance - Prepare recurring reporting on logistics-related P&L performance, including transportation spend, supplier costs, cost allocations, budget variances, and savings initiatives. Provide management with clear explanations of financial results, risks, and corrective actions.
- Invoice and Cost Control - Approve or validate logistics invoices against contracts, rate sheets, purchase orders, dispatch records, and delivery documentation. Resolve billing discrepancies and ensure costs are accurately allocated to the appropriate business unit, facility, project, or work order.

Minimum Qualifications

- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 1 year of professional work experience.

- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, quality, and an unwavering commitment to safety and compliance.

- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Outlook, Word, SmartSheet and Teams.

- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including hands-on field, warehouse, or site support as needed

- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

- 1+ years of experience in dispatch, transportation logistics, procurement support, supply chain, warehouse operations, manufacturing support, or industrial operations.

- Educational background in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

- Experience supporting freight movement, carrier management, vendor coordination, and invoice reconciliation in an industrial, construction, manufacturing, warehouse, or renewable energy environment.

- Familiarity with transportation, equipment supply, construction, or logistics agreements.

- Working knowledge of transportation compliance, carrier documentation, insurance requirements, permits, site access requirements, and logistics best practices.

- Experience with inventory, warehouse, ERP, TMS, procurement, cost tracking, or payment systems.

- Ability to be adaptable and work in a dynamic environment alongside people with diverse interests and backgrounds.

- Strong organizational, time management, critical thinking, data management, and communication skills.

- Experience working in the renewable energy industry on projects or operations that include wind, solar, storage, manufacturing, or major component logistics.

- Experience communicating with carriers, 3PL providers, truck drivers, vendors, warehouse personnel, and internal operations teams.

- Ability to coordinate multiple active loads, prioritize urgent operational requests, and adapt to schedule changes on short notice.

- Familiarity with logistics documentation such as bills of lading, proof of delivery, receiving paperwork, rate confirmations, purchase orders, and freight invoices.

- Experience negotiating carrier, freight, transportation, or logistics agreements.

- Experience managing operating budgets, forecasts, cost allocations, or P&L reporting.

- Experience managing supplier performance, commercial terms, and corrective-action plans.

- Financial and analytical skills, including budget-to-actual variance analysis.

Base Pay

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 0% - 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
